Absorbent Pads

General Purpose Absorbent Pads can be used to clean up any spill including oils, fuels, solvents, cutting compounds, mild alkalis and acids, wine, milk and water.  However, for oil spills on water we recommend our Oil and Fuel Absorbent Pads.  These pads are hydrophobic, meaning they don't absorb water they will float on water whilst absorbing the oil!  Made out of 100% polypropylene fibres, these pads have a very high absorbency.

Some oil-absorbing pads (or oil absorbing wipes as they are sometimes called) come dimpled to provide extra strength and resistance to tearing; you can also buy the oil pads as polypropylene in its raw meltblown state and they absorb a huge amount of oil!

There are two weights of absorbent pad available: heavyweight and lightweight.  They are supplied in one size, 400mm x 500mm.

Oil and fuel pads can be used anywhere inside, outside, on the floor, on the bench, under a machine, or as a wipe.

Absorbent pads are an integral component in all our oil spill kits, including the vehicle spill kits, 120, 240 and 660 ltr wheelie bin spill kits, and our marine spill kit range.

Oil and Fuel Absorbent Mini-Booms

Oil and Fuel Absorbent Mini-Booms create an instant containment barrier for any oil spill.  Wrap the absorbent mini-booms (also known as absorbent snakes, or absorbent socks) around leaky machines, damaged containers or even use the absorbent booms as a barrier across a drain!

Our mini-booms are highly absorbent and high quality, and come in two user friendly sizes 1.2 and 2.4m lengths.

These also come in our vehicle spill kits and 120, 240 and 660 ltr wheelie bin spill kits.
