Today, we're going to discuss the benefits of using G-Sorb Sorbent Rolls as opposed to our SpillBoss P95 Granular Sorbent in a workshop environment.
SpillBoss P95 is a premium natural fossilised sea sponge with a huge absorption capacity. Ideal for highway and construction spills, it stays granular even when wet and won’t leave an oily surface. It has 5x absorbency of regular clay granules and comes in 15kg bags. It is a genuine all-rounder, universal absorbent for virtually all liquids.
Our G-Sorb Sorbent Rolls are what you might call a “pad on a roll”. Perforated both horizontally and vertically for economy and ease of use, rolls are a great way to keep your workplaces safe and clean. You simply tear off the exact amount of sorbent you require!
So you’re probably wondering – which one is for me?
As detailed above, the P95 absorbent is great for cleaning up virtually any spill on hard surfaces. It is especially popular with roads authorities and mechanic workshops, where they regularly have large spills, as it is a very easy solution.
So then, why a roll?
Sorbent rolls have proven to be very popular in workshop environments where regular spills and leaks can be a slip hazard. They are:
- A much cleaner alternative than absorbent granules
- Perforated so workshop personnel can easily tear off what they require
- So easy to use; simply put the required length of sorbent in place prior to servicing/working on oil parts to catch and absorb any spills, before they become a hazard
- Easy to dispose of; once used, simply pick up the used sorbent and dispose of in accordance with your local government guidelines
Both products have their benefits in different situations. For example, if you’re cleaning up large amounts of oil on a road, then the P95 is for you, however, if you want a safe, clean and efficient workplace, rolls are the way to go. They’re much cleaner, help reduce slip hazards, and help to contain leaks and spills as they occur!
